Highlights
The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. Dense soft slabs to three feet in depth exist on steep wind loaded aspects at higher elevations. High winds continue to add snow and stresses to these slabs. Yesterday a snowmobiler triggered a two foot slab in the South Fork of Spread Creek while highmarking. Similar events could be triggered today by riders or skiers. Avoid steep banks, gullies and avalanche prone terrain.
