Highlights
Instabilities persist in the snowpack at the mid and upper elevations. Soft slabs formed by west winds and reworked into harder slabs by strong east winds during the Thanksgiving holiday lie upon a well developed weak interface of faceted snow and a crusty October snowpack. Areas of slab one to two feet in depth could be human triggered on very steep wind loaded aspects. At the lower elevations insufficient snow depths exist for avalanches to occur.
