Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations dense slabs two to five feet in depth lie upon persistant weak layers of faceted snow. These slabs could be human triggered especially in cliff areas and on steep wind loaded north to east aspects that have not had recent avalanche activity. These slabs may be crossed multiple times before a weak trigger area is hit and they fail with the potential for severe consequences. At the lower elevations avalanches are unlikely.
