Highlights
The General Avalanche Hazard is MODERATE. Areas of unstable snow exist where strong southwesterly winds continue to build slabs along ridgecrests and cross-loaded slopes. These slabs will increase in depth and become more susceptible to failure as new snow accumulates throughout the day. On northerly slopes, these slabs lie upon old, faceted, October snow. Backcountry travelers could trigger these slabs to depths of two feet in steep, wind-loaded starting zones.
