Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are free of avalanche danger due to a shallow, weak snowpack. That said, it's still a good idea to steer clear of stiff areas of wind-drifted snow on very steep slopes above treeline. Expect to find the deepest drifts and stiffest snow on northeast- and east-facing slopes at upper elevations.
