Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations dangerous soft slabs up to 30 inches in depth lie upon a persistent, very weak layer over a slick October crust. During the past few days skiers or snowboarders have triggered slabs in the Teton Pass and Grand Teton Park areas. Similar events are likely to be human triggered today. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.
