Avalanche Summary
Watch for small areas of drifted snow sitting right below ridgetop. You are most likely to find recent drifts on northeast and east-facing slopes. Any avalanche that you trigger in drifted snow will be small, but you could get knocked off your feet and into rocks. Besides these isolated, drifted pockets, avalanche conditions are generally safe.
A winter storm starting on Thursday won't increase the avalanche danger during the day. But you should expect the danger to increase by Friday morning as snow totals exceed about 8 inches.
