Avalanche Summary

An Avalanche Warning is in effect for the southern San Juan Mountains including the La Plata and Rico Mountains, and areas surrounding Vallecito Lake, Wolf Creek, and Cumbres Passes. Very dangerous avalanche conditions exist and last through Thursday. Human-triggered avalanches large enough to bury, injure or kill you are very likely. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended during this time period.
