Avalanche Summary

The likelihood of wet-snow avalanches will increase during the day as the surface crust breaks down. The potential for avalanches is greatest on north and east-facing slopes at upper elevations. If you find yourself sinking into wet snow past your ankles, head to lower-angle slopes or call it a day.

Starting and ending your day early is a good strategy to reduce your risk of avalanches.
