Forecast Snow Stability: Fresh unstable windslab will develop gradually through the day with steep North-East to South-East aspects above 800 metres most affected. Deposits will initially be shallow only beginning to gain depth in specific wind sheltered locations such as gullies, and coire rims as the day progresses. Fragile cornices will begin to form above these locations. Elsewhere the existing snowpack will be well bonded firm and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Rain at all levels overnight will turn to snow above 450 metres with frequent snow showers throughout the day. The freezing level will be above the summits overnight falling to around 550 metres by morning and remaining there throughout the day. Winds will be gale force Westerly. Observed Weather Influences: A mainly dry day with occasional showers which fell as snow above around 750 metres. Winds were moderate Westerly. The freezing level was around 850 metres. ObservedSnowStability: The existing snowpack is well bonded, firm and stable with a very thin covering of fresh snow. Greatest snow accumulations remain on North through East to South -East aspects above 800 metres, particularly in corries and gullies. The avalanche hazard is Low.
