During the day, the snowpack will soften and continue to thaw at all levels. Greatest snow accumulations will be on North through East to South-East aspects above 750m. Cornices remain prone to collapse. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: A predominantly dry day is expected, with the chance of an occasional rain shower. During the day, the freezing level will be above the summits. Strong to very strong Southerly winds. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with very strong South-Westerly winds. The freezing level rose above the summits.
