Snowpack Summary

Following the spring-like conditions of the last few days, mountain temperatures remained below the freezing point Wednesday night and Thursday. A solid melt-freeze crust is now present on all aspects at all elevations. Traveling conditions are challenging with thin snow coverage and/or icy conditions.

Synopsis: The region will be under the influence of a high-pressure ridge on Friday. Sunny skies and northerly winds are expected.

Thursday evening and night: Clearing. No precipitation. North wind, 30-40 km/h. Low -12.

Friday: Mainly sunny. No precipitation. Northeast wind, 20-25 km/h. High -4.

Saturday: Increasing cloudiness. No precipitation. South wind, 20-40 km/h. High -3. Freezing level rising to 600 m.

Sunday: Cloudy, Snow beginning in the afternoon. South wind 50-60 km/h. High of -1. Freezing level around 450 m.
