Cool temperatures are keeping the snowpack stable. There is 6 cm of new snow at higher elevations over a supportive crust. Good stability in the morning may quickly deteriorate with daytime warming. Watch for moist sluffs gaining mass on this crust.

Wet Slabs

Several crusts in the isothermal snowpack provide failure planes and bed surfaces for wet slabs. Loose wet avalanches, or cornice failures could trigger these slabs. Large glide releases are still occurring frequently.
