2 size 2's noted on Mt. Smuts (S face): Start elev of 2300, windslab, 60 to 100m wide, 40-100 deep, ran 600-700m

Snowpack Summary

Variable snow depth. SH noted, but limited to valley bottom in open areas. Windslabs varying from 1f to 4f in storm snow. 1106 crust down 40-80. CTM (11) SP down 15, 2250 m, W asp.

Avalanche Problems

Wind Slabs

Only a couple observations from today. 2 size 2's were noted in alpine terrain on Mt. Smuts. Both were windslabs and started around 2300 meters on a steep SE face. They both ran approximately 600m.
Avoid lee and cross-loaded terrain near ridge crests.>Carefully evaluate and use caution around thin snowpack areas.>
