No defined problems, but you can still expect to get some snow moving in steep, complicated terrain.  Sluffs will grow in size as the surface snow continues to facet.

Summary

Weather Forecast

A weak low pressure system stalled on the coast just south of BC is pushing cloud and isolated flurries over our area.

Today: Cloudy with isolated flurries. Alpine high -10C. Light ridge wind.

Tonight: Cloudy periods. Low -12C.

Tuesday: Isolated flurries. High -10 C. Light ridge wind.

Wednesday: Flurries (up to 5cm).  Low -11C, High -9C. Light wind.

Snowpack Summary

Cold temps have facetted and softened previous wind effect from extreme southerly winds. Cold has also weakened cornices which have grown substantially during the past couple of storms. Surface hoar growth has been observed in to the alpine. Steep solar slopes have a thin sun crust. And, low density snow (good skiing) persists in sheltered areas.

Avalanche Summary

A skier triggered a small avalanche in steep unsupported terrain on Avalanche Crest and was swept down a gully feature.

There have been several reports of natural cornice failures recently; pay attention to what's overhead when choosing stopping spots, and give cornices a wide berth when traveling on ridges.

Confidence

The weather pattern is stable
