Early season avalanches at any elevation have the potential to be particularly nasty as rocks, slash, deadfall, stumps, etc. are exposed or just below the surface.

Summary

Weather Forecast

Unseasonably warm temperatures for November 8th. THe atmospheric river that is hammering the coast is being blocked by a ridge of high pressure centered in idaho. We're expecting small amounts of precipitation on Wednesday than FL rising to 3900m on Thursday.

Snowpack Summary

At Treeline the snowpack is generally moist with several crusts stitching it together. We have no significant weaklayers or any shears for that matter. While this snowpack remains uninteresting, i'm hoping that it will be a great foundation for our Winter Snow pack

Avalanche Summary

No new avalanches observed on the highway corridor or reported in the back country
