Wind Slabs

25 cm. of new snow overnight accompanied by strong south wind has added to the wind slab problem. Natural avalanche activity has subsided since the intense storm period,, but large avalanches are still possible.

Storm Slabs

Over a metre of storm snow and strong south winds have buried a touchy surface hoar layer. This layer has been very reactive to skier triggering. Natural avalanches have been running long distances, reaching valley bottom and across skiers uptracks.
