Avalanche Summary

No new avalanches observed.

Snowpack Summary

Generally about 15cm of recent snow overlying the March 19 interface with isolated wind effect. Carefully evaluate the bond with the new snow and the March 19th crust on the solar aspects where the bond is the most susceptible to fast sluffing. This is Spring, so conditions and weather forecasts are all over the map. Be prepared for fast changing conditions with snowfall amounts, wind and solar radiation.

Terrain and Travel

  • Watch for newly formed and reactive wind slabs as you transition into wind affected terrain.
  • Closely monitor how the new snow is bonding to the crust.
