Problems
Wind Slabs
Fresh wind slabs will be most reactive during the storm on Sunday / Monday. Periods of intense wind transport may cause wind slabs to form low in start zones.
- Use caution in lee areas. New snowfall mixed with wind loading is creating Wind Slabs.
Aspects: North, North East, East, South East, West, North West.
Elevations: Alpine, Treeline.

Loose Wet
This problem is specific to lower elevations on Sunday as rainfall will stress the snowpack below freezing level. Be mindful of your overhead hazard and avoid travel through large avalanche paths.
- Use extra caution on solar slopes or if the snow is moist or wet.
Aspects: All aspects.
Elevations: Below Treeline.
