Avalanche Problems
Loose Wet
Cool temperatures are keeping the snowpack stable. There's 5 cm of new snow at higher elevations over a supportive crust. Good stability in the morning may quickly deteriorate with day time warming. Watch for moist sluffs gaining mass on this crust.
Aspects: All aspects.
Elevations: All elevations.
Likelihood: Possible
Expected Size: 1 - 2
Wet Slabs
Several crusts in the isothermal snowpack provide failure planes and bed surfaces for wet slabs. Loose wet avalanches, or cornice failures could trigger these slabs. Large glide releases are frequently occurring.
Aspects: All aspects.
Elevations: Alpine, Treeline.
Likelihood: Unlikely - Possible
Expected Size: 1 - 3
