Expect fast sluffing in steep terrain with approximately 5cm of new snow on large surface hoar crystals. May pick up top 20cm of weakening snowpack.

Deep Persistent Slabs

In areas of shallow snowpack skier triggering of slab avalanches is possible. Glide cracks are showing up throughout the area at all elevations. These have potential to produce large slab avalanches and are unpredictable.

Expected Size: 2 - 3

Wind Slabs

Isolated wind slabs exist in the immediate leeward areas on ridge crests but are stubborn to trigger.
