Snowpack Summary

A trace of snow (2 cm) overlies the thick Melt Freeze crust formed by the cold temperatures of the last 48 hours. This crust supports the weight of a skier up in the mountains, and is crumbly in the valley. The core of the snowpack is a mix of crusts from the last rain events, and high density snow. The total height of the snowpack is variable (80 cm at 900m), while the summits have been blown by the wind, and affected by the rain, exposing the ground in some places.
