Several loose dry avalanches size 1.5 in steep cliffs were observed in the Mount Murray area on Sunday.

Snowpack Summary

We have early season conditions with variable snow distribution. At valley bottom along the Spray road, we have about 40cm of snow and in the alpine we have about 65cm of snow. Good old Wind has moved the white stuff around, so expect deeper areas in lee features and around gullies. Wind slabs are present in some open areas. Ice climbers should be aware of loose dry snow above them.

Skies will clear on Tuesday with temperatures between -13c and -20c and light variable winds.
