Slightly cooler weather expected this week, with light westerly winds. Quick travel right now on a well-settled snowpack, supportive crusts at lower elevations. Little Prairie snowpack 150cms.

Wind Slabs

The weekend's very warm weather drove freezing levels to near 1900m, accompanied by rain and wet snow. Near-surface layers are now refrozen, and have up to 15cms of new snow on them. Moderate W winds have created isolated soft slabs to 25cms.

Elevations: Alpine, Treeline.
