Wind Slabs

Moderate to strong wind are forming wind slabs on immediate lee slopes in the alpine. We have very limited information on this avalanche problem but expect there's a potential to trigger small avalanches on specific terrain features.

  • Use caution in lee areas in the alpine. Recent storm snow has formed wind slabs.
