Snowpack Summary

A trace of snow (2 cm) covers the thick melt-freeze crust formed by the cold temperatures of the last 24 hours. This crust is friable at lower elevations and bears the weight of a skier at mid-elevations. The rain event from Wednesday melted the slope's snowpack at all elevations. The height of snow is currently 35 cm at 650 m. The cold and dry conditions expected for the weekend will maintain perilous travelling mountain conditions.
