Avalanche Summary
No recent avalanches have been reported. However, a party experienced whumpfing in the Fraser Chutes area on Friday. This points to the existence of a lingering windslab problem in steep alpine terrain, that remains susceptible to human triggering.Field observations have been limited, if you're out in the backcountry please consider submitting your observations to the MIN.
Snowpack Summary
Alpine surfaces are heavily wind-affected, but 10 to 20 cm of soft snow may still be found in wind-sheltered terrain. Check this White Pass MIN for more details.
A spotty layer of surface hoar may sit below recent snow, buried around 20 to 30 cm deep in isolated areas. Below 1500 m, a thick melt-freeze crust is buried 50 to 100 cm deep.
The average snowpack depth at treeline is around 200 cm.
