Avalanche Summary

If you are going out in the backcountry, please consider filling out a Mountain Information Network (MIN) report.
Snowpack Summary
A melt-freeze crust may have formed at the snow surface with overnight cooling. Continued mild temperature has transformed the top 40 cm of the snowpack into moist snow.
In alpine terrain, isolated wind slabs may still linger near ridge top features. At treeline, large weak surface hoar crystals were observed on sheltered terrain earlier this week.
The mid and lower snowpack is generally well-settled and bonded.
Snow depths at treeline vary across the region. Currently, 90 cm is reported in the Coquihalla and 50 cm near Manning Park.
