Regions: Waterton Lakes.

Overall, hazard is improving but a breakable crust below treeline is making for sporty skiing. Be mindful of burnt trees - they are not very forgiving.

Weather Forecast

Friday: Sunny with cloudy periods, light NW winds. High -9

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud, light SW winds. High -13

Sunday: Cloudy with sunny periods, light SW winds. High -11

Snowpack Summary

Upper elevations are heavily wind affected, and reactive windslabs can be found in isolated lee areas. Below 1900m a breakable crust exists making skiing challenging. The Dec 9th crust can be found down 70-100cm at Cameron Lake. Areas east of the divide hold a thin & faceted snowpack.

Avalanche Summary

No recent avalanches observed.
