Most snow will linger above 800 metres, North through East to South-East aspects on the higher summit slopes, round coire rims and in gullies. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a dry day with varying amounts of cloud. There will be a moderate, generally Easterly wind. The high summit air temperature will fluctuate between -1 and -2C during the day. Observed Weather Influences: A dry and cloudy day with cloud base around 850 metres. Brighter spells towards the coast. Fresh East wind. Freezing level was around or just above the higher summits. ObservedSnowStability: No change observed. The very limited snow cover remains well bonded, stable and firm throughout. Most snow patches exist above 800 metres, North through East to South-East aspects on the highest summit slopes, round coire rims and in gullies. The avalanche hazard is Low.
