The alpine rating is
, the treeline rating is , and the below treeline rating isThe "storm" seems to have avoided most of our forecast area, leaving only a few centimetres of new snow, so the avalanche rating remains low. However, it is possible that more precipitation fell to the east of route 299, particularly at Mines Madeleine. We have not made any observations on this side. If you notice more significant accumulations than expected, or wind slabs on the western and southern slopes, adapt your route choices accordingly.

Snowpack Summary
A thin layer of new snow is found in the mountains in areas protected from the wind. It lies on a crust on most slopes and altitudes. The crust varies in thickness depending on the slope and exposure to the sun. The driest and least crusted snow is definitely on the northern slopes, in areas protected from the wind at and below the treeline. The middle of the snowpack is well consolidated.Near the summits in the alpine, and on the windward slopes, crust and ice are generalized. On other slopes, the snow is dense, hardened by the wind and affected by the freeze-thaw cycle of the last few days.In general, the height of the snow cover varies from 80 to 100 cm in the valley to 110 to 160 cm in the mid-mountain.
