Regions: Little Yoho.

Enjoy the fine weather and normal winter temperatures out there this weekend.  Conditions are hard and bony below tree line so take care and avoid skiing at this elevation if possible. PJ

Weather Forecast

A ridge of high pressure off the coast of B.C. will move in on Saturday bringing clear and sunny skies.  A weak disturbance will move in and collide with the ridge late Sunday afternoon bringing light flurries later in the day and continued flurries for Monday.

Snowpack Summary

A light dusting of snow 3-5cm's sits on a well settled upper snowpack of stiff snow and a generally well settled mid pack and base structure. Bone hard surfaces still prevail below tree line so pack your helmet, mouth guard and body armor if you plan on skiing in this elevation band for any appreciable length of time.

Avalanche Summary

No new avalanche activity other than the odd isolated cornice induced slab avalanche in steep alpine terrain. Ski areas are reporting little to no activity.

Confidence

Due to the number and quality of field observations
