Wind Slabs

Riders are still able to ski-cut thin (5-10cm), hard slabs in lee features. With the reverse loading of N and E winds, slabs can be found on all aspects. While the slabs are likely too thin to bury a person, they could push one over steep terrain.
Be cautious as you transition into wind affected terrain.Caution in lee and cross-loaded terrain near ridge crests.

Aspects: All aspects.

Elevations: Alpine, Treeline.
