Regions: Little Yoho.

4-8cm of snow with light winds are expected on Monday, which will improve ski quality.

If more snow falls than forecast, the hazard may increase. Watch locally for new snow amounts and how it bonds to harder surfaces.

Confidence

Moderate

Avalanche Summary

No new avalanches were observed or reported over the last 72 hours.

Snowpack Summary

2-4cm accumulated above ~2000m Sunday. Below this surface crusts exist on solar aspects to ridgetop and all aspects at treeline and below. North-facing alpine slopes hold 20–40 cm of dry snow. A stiff midpack sits on Jan facets 90 to 150cm, with a settled lower snowpack below. On most slopes, crusts over the slab add strength if thick and frozen.

Weather Summary

Monday: 4-8cm is expected with winds 20-30 kmh from the NW. Treeline temperatures remain below freezing. See image below for more details.
