The new snow and wind slabs represent the main danger.
Large and, in isolated cases, very large natural avalanches are possible in particular in the regions exposed to heavier precipitation. Avalanches can be released, even by a single winter sport participant. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Avalanches can penetrate down to the ground. Gliding avalanches can also occur.
As a consequence of new snow and wind, wind slabs will form. Weak layers exist in the old snowpack. The rain will give rise to increasing and thorough wetting of the old snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes.
The weather will be partly cloudy. Light precipitation.
