As a consequence of the strong wind the avalanche prone locations will become more prevalent as the day progresses. The sometimes deep wind slabs can still be released in some cases in particular on very steep shady slopes above approximately 2400 m. In particular on very steep slopes small and medium-sized moist avalanches are possible as the snowfall level rises. Backcountry touring calls for experience and restraint.

Over a wide area 2 to 5 cm of snow will fall until late morning above approximately 2200 m. Up to 2000 m rain will fall until late morning in some regions. The weather conditions will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack at low and intermediate altitudes. In some places new snow and wind slabs are lying on a hard crust. Towards its base, the snowpack is faceted and weak. In all altitude zones only a small amount of snow is lying for the time of year.

In some regions increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of new snow and strong wind.
