Wind slabs: 2 to 10 cm of snow will fall on Thursday above approximately 2200 m, this applies in the afternoon. On Thursday rather small wind slabs will form in some places. They are bonding well with the old snowpack in all aspects. The number and size of avalanche prone locations will increase as the day progresses. The fresh wind slabs can in isolated cases be released by a single winter sport participant, but they will be small in most cases. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls. Small natural avalanches are possible.

Less snow than usual is lying. On sunny slopes below approximately 2600 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. The conditions below approximately 3000 m are spring-like, in particular on very steep sunny slopes. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust. In the last few days hardly any more avalanches occurred naturally.

The avalanche danger will increase. As the temperature drops hardly any more moist and wet avalanches are to be expected.
