Forecast Snow Stability: Localised areas of unstable windslab will persist, largely affecting coire rims, ridge flanks and tops of gullies, North-East through East to South aspects, and mainly above 750 metres. Small fragile cornices will also remain above similar aspects. Elsewhere, there will be a covering of fresh snow above 500 metres. and the patchy old snow will be very firm and stable. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Snow showers will become lighter overnight and ease altogether by dawn, to give a dry and cloudy day. Fresh Westerly winds will also ease overnight, backing to a light Southerly through the day. The freezing level will gradually rise from 550 metres overnight to around 900 metres by the end of the forecast period. Observed Weather Influences: A day of sunshine and snow showers, occasionally heavy and prolonged, with snow lying above 400 metres. The wind was a fresh North-Westerly. Freezing level was around 500 metres. ObservedSnowStability: Localised areas of moderately well bonded windslab continue to build in wind sheltered locations, mainly above 700 metres, on North-East through East to South-Easterly aspects. Small cornices are developing above similar aspects. Windward aspects are generally scoured. The old snow remains very firm and stable. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
