Crowsnest North, Crowsnest South.
Wind slabs likely linger in higher terrain, watch for changing conditions as you shift aspect and elevation.
Loose avalanches were reported on Sunday to size 1.
Looking forward, human triggered avalanches are possible in wind loaded features.
Strong winds have redistributed recent light snowfall at upper elevations over hard surfaces or a crust. At lower elevations, rain has created a supportive surface crust.
A persistent weak layer of surface hoar or facets and a crust is buried 30 to 50 cm deep. Avalanches on this layer are thought to be unlikely.
The mid and lower snowpack are well settled.
