The ski quality has drastically improved. But you can still feel that crust when breaking trail and skiing down most features.
Wind slab formation is on-going. Watch for these slabs on all aspects due to variable winds. These slabs are sitting on either a crust or a hard wind layer, and will be sensitive to human triggering in steep and unsupported terrain.
Its a backwards time. Winds coming straight out of the east is abnormal for us. Tuesday wont be any warmer (-30!!!), but the sun should be out in full force.
A few loose dry (sluffs) avalanches to size 1.5 on both East and West Aspects at TL.
These started in steep (45 degrees +) start zones and stopped well in the tracks and only entrained the surface snow.

Up to 35cm of recent storm snow has fallen at tree line in the last storm. This snow overlies widespread wind effect at all elevations and sun crust in steep solar features. Field teams today found that the bond at the storm snow interface is variable, ranging from poor to good. Above 2400m the recent variable winds have formed wind slabs on all aspects.
