Limited field observations, possibly 50cm in the alpine. Caution on lee slopes, gullies, areas with wind slabs, watching overhead hazards with new loads and solar radiation. Along with all the early season hazards.
First big snowfall of the season dropping 30-50cm of new snow around the region. With more snow in the forecast along with moderate to strong wind in the alpine. Day time temperatures will stay around 0 degrees but will warm up rapidly with solar radiation.
