The general avalanche hazard is LOW below 10,500 feet. Low hazard does not me no hazard. Skiers and riders might be able to trigger an isolated pocket of shallow slab six to twelve inches deep in steep, wind-loaded terrain at the higher elevations. On sunlit aspects, any extended periods of sunshine will increase the likelihood of triggering these slides along with chance for wet loose sluffing of the new snow.

Scattered snow showers are to diminish overnight and a dry and mostly clear day is expected for Friday. Temperatures in the mountains are to start in the low twenties and rise to the mid thirties. Winds are to be southwesterly with five to fifteen mile per hour averages. The general avalanche hazard will be LOW. Above 8000 feet, recent snow lies on a stable snowpack. This new snow could be triggered as loose snow sluffs in very steep terrain particularly in the afternoon in warm sunlit areas.
