Avalanche Summary

You could trigger an avalanche on steep slopes where recent wind-drifted snow is forming firm, connected slabs over weak snow. Strong winds following our last storm blasted the mountains, pressing the new snow into stiff slabs at upper elevations. Look for and steer clear of drifted snow below ridgelines and in cross-loaded gullies, especially on north, northeast, and east-facing slopes near and above treeline.

You can find safer and nicer riding conditions at lower elevations and on slopes not affected by recent winds.
