Avalanche Summary

You can trigger an avalanche on steep slopes facing northwest to north through east. Strong winds continue to drift snow onto a weak snowpack near and above treeline. The most dangerous areas will be on steep slopes below ridgelines and in gullies that held on to early-season snow. Shooting cracks or audible collapsing are signs you should move to lower-angle slopes or wind-sheltered terrain.
