Avalanche Summary

Avalanche conditions remain dangerous, especially on steep slopes facing northwest through north to east, near and above treeline. You can release an avalanche from below a slope or from a distance away. Reduce your chances of triggering these slides by giving these slopes a wide buffer, including when traveling above or under them. Look for safer riding options on southerly-facing or wind-sheltered slopes less than 30 degrees with no steep terrain above.
