Generally safe avalanche conditions exist. Watch out for wet avalanches on steep slopes in the afternoon. Most of these will be small, but they can still knock you over and drag you down a slope. On sustained, steep slopes, they might grow large enough to bury you, especially if there are terrain traps, such as a creek or gully beneath you. The easiest way to reduce your chances of triggering a wet avalanche on Thursday is to start and end your day early. If you notice your feet or machine sinking deep into wet snow, just avoid steep slopes or move to a shadier, more north-facing slope.

You might be able to trigger a slab avalanche that fails on a crust around a foot deep on high-elevation, north-facing slopes. If you feel a firm crust about a foot beneath dry snow, avoid likely trigger points such as convex rollovers, very steep and unsupported slopes, and steep slopes with terrain traps such as a cliff or creek beneath you.
