Avalanche Summary

This week's storm snow is settling into a dangerous slab above one, two, or three potential buried weak layers. Conditions changed quickly on Thursday as this week's storm snow became easy-to-trigger as a slab avalanche. Make conservative terrain choices. Stay off and out from under north and east-facing slopes steeper than about 30 degrees. Your safest options will be on wind-sheltered south to southwest-facing terrain.
