Highlights

New snow from the recent storm cycle rests on slippery surface hoar, sun crusts and northerly melt-freeze crusts. Loose snow sloughs continue to be triggered on steeper slopes. Soft slabs up to 18" thick have been triggered on steep wind loaded slopes on a variety of aspects. Such slabs may have the potential to release hard slabs 3-5 feet in depth. These deep slabs could also be triggered by skiers, boarders or more likely, by snowmobilers.
