Highlights

At the mid and upper elevations DANGEROUS slabs up to six feet in depth lie upon slick crusts and a weak layer of faceted snow on northerly aspects. Five slabs 3 to 6 feet in depth were easily triggered with explosives on mid elevation northerly aspects yesterday in unskied areas of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The Wyoming Highway Department triggered an avalanche on Twin Slides, a southerly aspect, this morning which ran to the highway. With strong winds and more snow in the forecast similar events are likley to be triggered or release naturally. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
