Highlights

The general avalanche hazard is LOW today. At upper elevations isolated pockets of dense slabs up to 18 inches in depth exist in steep wind loaded avalanche starting zones, on steep banks and in gullies. Yesterday, such a slab was triggered by a skier on an easterly aspect of Mt. Leidy. Similar events could be triggered today. Low hazard does not mean NO hazard.
